Hiramani Singh Gond recently got an information that a Gram-Sabha on Forest Rights Act would be constituted in 3-4 days. Hiramani says that people should be informed of such meetings at least 15 days in advance, as per the rules of M.P. State Panchayat Act. It should take place under the surveillance of video camera and in presence of the highest possible authority. Hiramani already gave an application to the SDM of Singrauli to apply all these rules and make the meeting as transparent as possible.
If the fair regulations are not applied this time, Heeramani fears that again in this meeting, some unfair means will be used like the last time (on 6th March gramsabha when fake signatures of even dead people were produced!)
Hiramani Singh is from Amelia vill. Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh – interview by Avinash Chanchal.
Call the SDM, Singrauli – Ashish Pathak @ 07805233225 and ask for a fair Gramsabha!
Hiramani Singh reporting again against the police’s inaction to public complaints. On 22nd February- villagers from Amelia filed complaint at Mada police station against the fraud on 1125 signatures in Gramsabha. The Police had told that they would take 10 days for inquiry. But nothing happened in 60 days! Then Hiramani files a memorandum to the S.P – D Chakravarty in April and SP told that he would investigate the proceedings from Mada Police station. Its been 3 weeks since then and he too didn’t get back to the villagers yet.
Heeramani says that if S.P wouldn’t solve people’s problems, he would go to any length, all the courts, to get the law take strong action against the perpetrators of the fraud. He will not leave his forest and land.
Hiramani (Amelia village, Singrauli dst., Madhya Pradesh) urges the readers to build more pressure on the police to act. Call him to know more about the fraud @ +91 8819969406

Vivek Goyal reporting from Waidhan. On 5th May, people from the company were marking the trees and their working area in the forest. 70 villagers went to stop this. The police came by then and asked the villagers to let the marking continue. But the villagers told that they would continue resisting because this 2nd stage clearance is given based on 1125 forged signatures in the Gramsabha on 6th March, 2013 (whereas the actual number of villagers present in the Gramsabha was only 184). Villagers say that this 2nd stage clearance is a against the Forest Right Act 2006. Thus, the govt and administration supporting the company is actually a violation of the rights of villagers, tribal and dalits. After a while, the company people and police left their equipments in the forest and went away. Later, the villagers submitted the equipments at Bandhora police station. ‘Sangharsh jaari rahega’

On 22nd February, he along with other villagers from Amelia filed a complaint against the gramsabha’s fraud on 1125 signatures for land, at Mada Police Stations. The Police had told that they would take 10 days for inquiry. But now its been two months and there is no progress in this case. Hiramani Singh reports about Mada police station’s delay in investigation. He along with others files a complaint against 1125 fraud signatures used at Amelia’s Gramsabha to take away people’s lands. The Thana In charge had asked for 10 days’ time from the villagers to get back on updates in investigation. The time asked for was well over and the people didn’t hear anything from the Police. Hiramani says that if Mada police station doesn’t help, then the people would go to all the way from SP to the High Court & Supreme Court for seeking justice. (Amelia Vil, Dist. Singrauli, MP)
